1TB - 2.5" - 9.5mm Height Drive Options.

I’ve learned the Drobo Mini only accepts 7 - 9.5mm high drives -

I’ve found the following drives in 1TB / 9.5mm. Can anybody add to this list or confirm other 1TB models they’ve used successfully?

The Western Digital Scorpio Blue 1TB (WD10JPVT) -
OR
Seagate Momentus 1 TB - Retail Kit STBD1000100 - (Not 100% sure if 9.5mm) - All the Momentus product matrices I’ve found conveniently leave out the 1TB Model
OR
Hitachi TravelStar 5K1000 (0J22413) (HTS541010A9E680)
OR
Samsung SpinPoint SATA 5400rpm 8 MB Cache 1 TB 2.5-Inch Hard Drive (M8 HN-M101MBB)

I know WD acquired Hitachi, and Seagate acquired Samsung… So I’m not sure about the futures of those model lines / brand names.

Has anybody successfully used any other 1TB 2.5" drives? Most of these new 1TB 2.5" drives support “advanced format” - 4K blocks - does this matter to the Drobo Mini?

After waiting on the phone for Seagate Support - I can confirm the STBD1000100 Kit is a 9.5mm drive, however, the kits have been discontinued… but there’s still quite a bit of stock out there. The rep couldn’t say why they were discontinued - but this explains why no mention is made of the 1TB 2.5" Momentus in any other product literature.
